0 Coombs' Test

Indirect Coombs' Test (Detects Ab against RBCs that are present unbound in serum)

  1. Used in Prenatal testing of pregnant women 
  2. and in testing blood Prior to Blood transfusion


Direct Coombs' Test (dectects the Abs or complement proteins that are bound to the surface of RBCs.)

  1. used After blood transfusion
