Esophageal web (acquired)

Site : Cricopharynx / Postcricoid.

Usually in association with Plummer–Vinson syndrome (PVS) = Paterson–Brown–Kelly syndrome = sideropenic dysphagia --which is a triad of
  • dysphagia , 
  • esophageal webs, and 
  • iron deficiency anemia.
Seen mostly in post-menopausal ladies.

Treatment : Iron supplementation, Balloon dilatation.
